About Michael Sytniak

Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist

Born and raised in the Detroit area, I am also raising my family here.

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn graduating with high distinction. I then attended Bowling Green State where I obtained my Master’s Degree (MA) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology. I did my doctoral internship at Henry Ford Hospital In Detroit. Both the graduate program at Bowling Green State University and internship at Henry Ford Hospital are accredited by the American Psychological Association.

Most people find me easy to talk to and I believe it is important to create a comfortable and safe environment where we will discuss your struggles. It is my goal to help clients and others to understand psychotherapy through outcome informed treatment as a way to make treatment more efficient and effective.

To help my clients I continue to explore ways, through reading and continuing education, to expand my ability to provide excellent clinical care. I love the work that I do!

When not working I love spending time with my family and friends. I have been married 30+ years and have two wonderful children. Activities that I enjoy are being outdoors running, fishing and gardening, as well as cooking and reading.
